Toyota has reached a major milestone this fall with the automaker announcing that they have sold over seven million hybrid cars worldwide. A market leader in hybrid technology, Toyota first released the original hybrid car, the Prius, 17 years ago in the year 2000. Since then hybrid cars have taken off as one of the most popular car models in the world.
