2019 Toyota RAV4 Model Review
|
With its strong sales over the years, the RAV4 has certainly proven itself to be one of the most popular and beloved vehicles from Toyota. Several changes and updates along the way have made it even more enjoyable to drive, and 2019 is no exception. This year, the RAV4 comes to market with an edgier exterior design, a quieter cabin, and more off-road capabilities. The latest RAV4 attracts attention with a new, more powerful engine, which you can test out when it arrives this winter.
The once standard six-speed transmission has been replaced with an eight-speed automatic transmission for a faster and more responsive driving experience. What's even more impressive is that despite having a higher performing engine, the 2019 RAV4 also features the best fuel economy to date in the RAV4 family. Rounding out the exciting changes for 2019 are a new platform, called the TNGA platform, which provides more space in the cabin for passengers and gives the RAV4 a longer wheelbase. Even the base model RAV4 comes with a healthy package of features, and upper-level trims only build on those generous offerings. Standard features in the base model include Apple CarPlay, a seven-inch entertainment and navigation touchscreen, and WiFi connectivity. Passengers can also connect to Amazon Alexa. Multiple USB ports make it possible to power and play multiple electronic devices at once.
